Anthropological works exploring agriculture as community activity in traditional communities

Hello everyone,

I am new here and I come from a legal background. My research interests among other things include the protection of traditional knowledge and plant variety. In this context, I am looking for readings which draw links between the development of agriculture and collective or community innovation. Also how a particular method of agriculture plays an important role in carving the identity for the community which practises it. I would really appreciate something which looks at these issues in several traditional communities across the world in contemporary as well as historical perspectives.

If you have any suggestions, I would be grateful for your help.

Thank you.
