Eda,  Some very fancy footwork and camera work.  Well done, but I don't like your flickery credits, (difficult to read) and the subtitles need slowing and pacing better.  But it is very well made.  Also I was not crazy about the non-indigenous music.  What was it trying to say. And who or what if Hulya?

Whilst doing fieldwork on the Libertarian Party of Ohio, I'm also doing a documentary on amateur filmmakers and filmmaking (www.oberlinfilmmakers.com). Any suggestions?

I just wanted to share this site, I find it very resourceful as a student anthropologist. The greatest benefit is after watching the old footage in a class or convention, our mind wanders thinking what are they doing?, Are they alive?, who are they?, what do they think about all this? MacFarlane has amassed a great collection of interviews with these great people and some answer our questions. discussions and insights are a great benefit, it reinforces our perspective. It sometimes even ensures we understood the important concepts or findings in past fieldworks, or documentaries.

I will certainly add you to my mailing list. Might I also suggest that you put yourself on the mailing list with InSight Education as they also help organise our screenings at UCL and send out regular news items about what we are doing with film at UCL. If you would like to do this go to www.insighteducation.org.uk where you will find a “Join Our Mailing List” menu on their home page.
I look forward to meeting you at the screenings and I attach an invitation to our screening of all the graduation films next Thursday.
Regards, MIKE YORKE

Emily, You should come along to our weekly free screenings of ethno and doc films at UCL in London and meet up with all the students who have been on our and various others filmmaking courses. The only way to make progress is to start networking with people with similar interests. Email me at m.yorke@ucl.ac.uk and I will put you on our mailing list. We have a free screening of very interesting films and Q&As with the filmmakers evry Thursday during term time and we are screening all the students final film projects on June 10th where you can meet them all. so do email me. MIKE

I know this group seems to be for the UCL course, but I was wondering if anybody was in London and just interested in discussing this/pooling resources to try and make something. Obviously I'd love to do the full course, it's just not something I can aford, but I'd still be interested in planning something, getting something off the ground...I've recently been working on a friend's documentary and have picked up a fair bit of experience so wouldn't be coming in blind. Anyway, if anybody's interested then please do let me know...

Hello, How can I find out more about the 'Vikram Jayanti Masterclass Sat, 29 May - Sun, 30 May, 10am-5pm'. I saw it listed on your UCL site.
