I would love to discuss the importance of the plant life and 40 day flood cycle of the ancient Nile. I know that Susan has good info on plants. Perhaps she would share some of that. Someone in the group certainly can tell us more about the 40-day flood cycle.

I read an interesting book written about a Coptic monk which mentions that the biblical symbolism of the 40 days and 40 nights reflects Nilotic experience. You can read more here:
