Comment by Sahil K Warsi on March 7, 2012 at 10:22pm I'm by no means 'well read' on the subject, but Raewyn Connell (http://trans.ilga.org/trans/welcome_to_the_ilga_trans_secretariat/t...) is perhaps the most famous theorist on masculinity. There is also Caroline & Filippo Osella's book on Masculinities in South Asia (Caroline Osella is doing quite wonderful stuff on masculinity).
Comment by matthew maycock on November 5, 2011 at 12:20pm It is a few years old now, but Masculinities Matter:

Is still pretty useful.
Comment by Logan Sparks on October 3, 2011 at 7:15pm There hasnt been much discussion here yet and I am wondering whether anyone here is already well read on anthropology of masculinity or other theories of masculinity. Any recommendations?
