Dear all, I am undertaking my research in Indonesia (with nomadic communities in North Sulwesi and the Celebes Sea) from June this year. I am interested in the impact of climate change on linguistic practices among nomadic communities and currently looking to get access/contact/affiliations to linguistic institutions in Indonesia that deal with indingenous narratives in terms of climate change, endangered languages mapping, archives, language conservation/development policy, etc. Any advice? Thanks for your time! Best, Elena.

I am doing a project on food in Singapore. I will be eating out with a group and then discussing your impressions. If anyone in Singapore wouldlike to take part please contact me so I can book a table.

Hi all

I am interested in space and territoriality in the context of indigenous homelands in India or South East Asia. Any suggestions on possible institutional affiliation / funding?

Hi, I have been long interested in Southeast and East Asia but did not have good opportunities to study there. When to opportunity arrived, I applied. I will probably be doing research in Laos looking at how 'traditional' art forms reflect different levels of identity in a more global world.
Cinema is a wonder form of expression. Unfortunately I know little about Thia cinema. What are the dominant cinemas the area? Which ones are the most popular?

Hi Simeon. Good to know that you're interested in nationalism in Southeast Asia. What inspired the change in region? Any particular country you're interested in? I've spent quite a bit of time studying nationalism and identity in Thai cinema (how Thai cinema developed in the 1900s will fascinate you, I suspect). Lets discuss!

I will be in Singapore to do a post-doc at Nanyang Tech. My focus has been nationalism and identity in the Balkans. So this is a change in direction for me. I will be looking at nationalism in Southeast Asia. I look forward to interesting and productive discussions
