This is not a contribution to the theory of anthropology as such, but yes possibly, to the future of theory itself, so I hope you'll understand me posting this here.

You might be aware that the management at Middlesex university has announced its plans to completely close down its successful department of Philosophy under the pretext of the general crisis. But the figures don't really add up. Philosophy has and continues to be crucial for the development of anthropological theory. Today a philosophy department faces closure, tomorrow it might just as well be an anthropology department. So I'm posting this link of the campaign to stop the closure from happening with details of circumstances and suggestions for action, please everyone do your best:

Kind regards,
