The project is focusing on reconstruction of the history of the Ancient World through patterns of cities studied in comparative context and by juxtaposing ancient cities with Medieval and Modern counterparts, researched in the context of contemporary social-political and cultural studies.

my interest lies in the anthropological aspects of urban centers in transition: subcultures of community based sustainability movements and the interaction between community, governance and development: Focus is contemporary and Western; looking to similar historical transitions for deeper understanding. Am hoping to learn much by reading here.

Thank you for writing. Indeed, I am interesting in urban anthropology but in Ancient period in Ancient Near Eastern and Mediterranean settings and right now working on that project- Conception of “Eternal Capitals” – From Ancient Cosmopolitan Cities to Modern Megalopolis.
