A small private note. My daughter Kate is now 33, out of the Navy, with two children, Keegan, 3 and Fiona 1 (actually 18 months). She just started a Masters program in public policy at the Kennedy School at Harvard. In her essay she wrote, "I have spent most of my adult life as a tool of policy. Now I want to make policy." Tough kid.
