Thanks for accepting the request - I am on Facebook as Kerry Morgan, in Australia, same photo as on here. I did a search but could not find you on there - not sure how to post a link!!/Kerry.Morgan4

I have been interested in the history of horses and their role in human history, and recently doing research for teaching the Anthropology thread at High School I found your paper on the Pazyryk horses - as a horsewoman myself, I immediately understood the idea of an important horse being buried with its own saddle and accoutrements.

I am currently following up on an interesting detail - the mention of "horns" on the heads of some of the Nisaean/Turanian horses (the famous Bucephalus in particular), and any evidence of frontal skull bosses (as seen on the modern-day Moyle, Carthusian and Datong horses) on the horse skulls in any of the ancient burials.

If you are able to point me in the direction of further information on the topics, it would be most fascinating!

Best Regards

Kerry Morgan

Also members of my class were interested in the function of the small bronze ceremonial mirrors from the Pazykyk finds, and whether there was any evidence in the Central Asian steppe cultures of these mirrors being used for the practical purposes of signalling, for example (the mirris not being suitable for reflecting the face effectively).

I banned "lucy" about an hour ago. Thanks for the report!
