Yes, I can see that the changing environment influences cosmological ideas. I was curious because the name Kantu seems close to the African tribal names which have Kan as their root and the idea of settled land, virgin land and the overlapping area (sacred center or sacred ground?) is something that I am exploring in my research.

Your area of work sounds fascinating. Do you know what the origin beliefs of the Ethics you are working with? Do they believe that earth rose as a pillar, mound of earth, or mountain from the cosmic ocean?
