Through qualitative ethnographic methods I want to examine how structural global conditions interact with everyday life experience and how these women are given and construct different meanings of their past, actual situations and of space according to an intersecting system of racialization, gender, class, religion, place of birth, sexuality etc.
How are spaces of Europe and Latin America, as well as the bodies originating from these spaces constructed in the process of making meaning out of every-day life? I want to examine and challenge constructions of "Eastern/Western Europe" and "Latin America/Argentina" and to understand how these women position themselves and are constructed differently within and through intersecting power relations.
My research has a postcolonial theoretical framework and a discourse theory perspective.
