I hope to return to Costa Rica next summer (late May or early June), but I do not know for sure. I estimate that I will need to be doing field research then. I am studying more about Pre-Colonial Era roads, paths, navigable rivers and ports. I still have to narrow down my research. I might be studying one road in depth or studying the whole Isthmo Colombian Cultural Area (Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, northern Columbia and Venezuela). I need to talk with Prof. Hoopes about it. How has the work at Ujarras been? Anything else new and exciting in your life?
