I am a doctoral candidate at the Anthropology Department of Goldsmiths, University of London and a research assistant to Dr Sari Wastell on the Bosnian Bones, Spanish Ghosts project which is funded by the ERC.
My research is focused on subtle histories of inter-religious knowledge in Bosnia and the political violence invested towards its reshaping. I am particularly interested in how these phenomena might reflect on sacral landscape. My work is supervised by Dr Sari Wastell and Dr Frances Pine.
Concepts key to my research include: space, place, landscape and belonging, oral histories as alternatives to historiographies, lives of sacred objects, the nature of materiality and intangibility, aestheticization of politics and politicization of aesthetics, etc.
I hold an MPhil degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge and BA degrees in Art History and Sociology from the University of Sarajevo and studies at Kenyon College. I am an alumnus of British Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Open Society Institute, Cambridge Overseas Trust and US Department of State programmes.

Safet, I look forward to seeing your photos and yes I can't get around doing some work on Bosnia very soon. its a great suggestion. I will let you know about the chapter, as to whether I can add something to your project. For the moment I may need to focus more on the journal articles I am preparing, but let see! all the best to you and best of luck with your work!
Safet, thanks for your comments. I am only just seeing them because of my settings here on OAC, which I need to change. Thanks for adding me. I will definitely send you some of my work, which will be finished very soon in fact. I will also have a look at the sacral geography group. I hadn't come across this group. All the best to you!
Welcome to the OAC, Safet!
