A. Ashkuff said… First, congratulations on graduating!
Second, I just read a whole article about "engaged anthropology" in American Anthropologist. Based on that reading, almost all forms of anthropology seem applied in some small way. So, I don't believe the question is "how can one apply anthropology?" I think a better question is "how can one apply anthropology, in a specific way?" What are your personal goals, as an anthropologist? To affect political change? To generate profit? Something else?
Third, I'd like to direct your attention to the COMMENTS section of this link. http://ashkuff.com/akaBlog/?p=4453 Me and a girl named Mimi have a pretty lengthy discussion about this very matter.
Lastly, I should warn you that I'm struggling myself. As an adviser, I'm pretty much only qualified to warn you against my own mistakes. (Laughs Out Loud)
