I am just one person from S.Korea who really want to involved in anthropology area. while I was searching for some information related to anthropology stuff, I found this site that is awesome. Probably I have a lot of things that i have to know about this site. I'm very glad to head this site. Now, I am learning English as a language student in D.C. But someday I wanna be anthropologist. Even though My minor is anthropology in my Univ., It is such a tough way to follow the pavement as an anthropologist.
Could you advise for me which one is good way to involved in anthropology area to the student who are undergraduated?
Hi, Keith! I don't think it is flourishing but it is not dying. It is in considerble flux in my opinion. I met you years ago with John Van Dusen Lewis when I was his doctoral student and an intern at USAID. It is great to join into the Open Anthro Coop and I also watched your globalization films on youtube yesterday. I was very excited about what you talked about as I have been trying to work in that vein, also referencing Appadurai and Trouillot. I am much more interested in the "big ethnographies" now, than a sole study of one community, although that is an important experience too, I agree.
Thanks Keith. I am still learning how to navigate the OAC. I am a cultural anthropologist teaching for a service learning and global studies program at the University of Colorado-Boulder. I have worked in Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan and recently started working on a Book on Peacebuilding with a South African colleague, Dr. Maphosa. In December and January I had a Fulbright Specialist Program with the African Institute for South Africa
Few days ago, I got your 5 lectures from You Tube on "Anthropology and Globalization" which befitted me greatly. I completed my Bachelor and Masters degree from Anthropology department, University of Dhaka in 2009. Currently, I am teaching in a public university at Dhaka and I started with 2 courses (Ecological Anthropology and Anthropology and Globalization). I want to write a Bangla article for my students on "Anthropology of Globalization". I have three books (on this topics such as a Reader, Eriksen and T.C.Lewellen). But I need some articles on this topics but it is not possible for me to buy this articles from the internet or JSTOR. Now, Sir, is it possible for you to help me in this matter?.
Thank you very much for uploading the lectures on Anthropology and Globalization.
Thank you, Keith, and thank you for your thought provoking lecture wednesday in Leiden.

Thanks, Keith! :) Looking forward to some exciting discussions! I'm mostly interested in urban legends and folktales :) Hope I can contribute something also.
Thank you very much Keith! I am a mature first year student in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada and have been a Chef for 25 years. I am now working my way towards hopefully studying Anthropology of food, but it's all very new and exciting to me. Thanks again for the Welcome.
